The Art of Assertiveness

Trainer

Amanda White, LCSW; Jonathan Reese, MA, LPC, NCC

Description

The purpose of this training is to define assertiveness in the therapeutic setting and empower clinicians to employ assertiveness with their clients. Many clinicians struggle to be assertive and set boundaries when it comes to making clinical recommendations in therapy and staying firm with expectations in treatment. Topics covered will include skills to increase assertiveness; the use of vulnerability when working with clients and exploring what may be barriers for a therapist.
