Trauma-Informed Treatment

Trainer

Kim Ernest, PhD, LPC (Read Bio)

Description

Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants prior to the start of the training.

While other programs are welcome to attend, participants should recognize that this is an extended outpatient orientation training.

The purpose of this training is to introduce basic concepts associated with trauma treatment in an outpatient setting. This training will teach therapists useable tools that they can utilize in an outpatient setting to address trauma histories within their clients.

  • Due to the difficult nature of the topic of trauma treatment, some of the content surrounding the topic area may be sensitive and/or difficult to hear/discuss. However, it's necessary to adequately train in this content area.
  • PCS provides light refreshments at all in-person trainings. Lunch is not provided. Please come prepared with a packed lunch as there will be time for a brief working lunch.
  • By attending a PCS training, you are giving PCS permission to videotape you and any discussion you participate in for video training purposes.
