Jonathan Reese, MA, LPC
The purpose of this training is to assist clinicians in identifying and understanding the process of group therapy. Research speaks to the healthy impacts group treatment can have on individuals within the group, yet group therapy is something many clinicians and clients are hesitant to engage with. Focus will be made on identifying presuppositions clients and therapists may have about group treatment and how to engage with these beliefs. In this training, individuals will assess the curative factors and identify the role they have in developing healing experiences. Discussion will be made on strategies to make the group setting a healing and safe place for clients.
