This training provides a general overview of the treatment and assessment of juveniles who engage in problematic sexual behavior. Attendees will learn the definitions associated with sexual offending behaviors from a legal and clinical perspective, typologies of those engaging in problematic behavior, and the role of the treatment provider. Lastly, participants will learn how to engage families and clients in creating and implementing effective safety plans.

The purpose of the Day 4 sessions is to increase participants’ ability to utilize a variety of interventions when working with juveniles with problematic sexual behavior and their support systems.

Please note: This is a sequential 5-day training. It is highly recommended that participants attend all 5 days to maximize this learning experience.

  • Please be aware that this training will include sensitive content areas and case examples which may be difficult for some.  
  •  PCS provides light refreshments at all in-person trainings. Lunch is not provided. Please come prepared with a packed lunch as there will be time for a brief working lunch.
  • By attending a PCS training, you are giving PCS permission to videotape you and any discussion you participate in for video training purposes.

  • PCS is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. PCS maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
  • People who attend PCS trainings in their entirety may receive CE credits for psychologists/LPC/ LSW/LCSW/ LMFT or general training credits, including CAC/DDAP. For other licenses, please consult with your respective licensing board.
    • Following each training, participants who have attended the training in its entirety will receive a PCS Training Feedback form via email.
    • After receipt of the completed form, PCS will issue a certificate via email indicating the CE credits that have been obtained.
    NOTE: Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) trainings are for BSL licensure credits only. APA continuing education credits noted above do not apply.
