This training will provide a brief introduction into the evidence-based models most effective at treating substance use disorders throughout a systemic family lens, review prevalence and risk factors for adolescent substance use, and introduce assessment tools to understand an adolescent’s individual substance use and associated risk.

Kimberly Ernest lives in Hummelstown, PA, with her husband and two young boys. Kimberly holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Pennsylvania State University, a master's degree in experimental psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas. Kimberly is currently a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed professional counselor. She presently serves as the Executive Vice President & Vice President of Criminal Justice and Recovery Programs for Pennsylvania Counseling Services.
