Description

Course Description

Rooted & Resilient is a training designed for mental health and human-service professionals seeking to integrate foundational movement, somatic yoga, breathwork, and meditation practices into therapy. The course emphasizes the clinical relevance of somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, trauma-sensitive movement, and embodied resilience.

Participants will explore current research on the therapeutic impact of yoga, mindfulness-based movement, and meditative practices, particularly how these interventions support recovery, emotional regulation, stress reduction, and whole-person wellness. The final portion of the training provides experiential learning where participants will engage in guided slow movement, adaptive yoga sequences, and meditation practices appropriate for use with diverse clinical populations.

*Attendees are welcome to bring their own yoga mat and block(s) or utilize class supplies.
