Resilience in the Face of Trauma Work

Trainer

Jennifer Storm

Description

Resilience in the Face of Trauma Work, presented by Jennifer Storm, will provide learners with tools to identify and understand the intersectionality of substance use, addiction, and victimization. This training will provide an understanding of trauma and victimization and how personal traumatic experiences have impacted survivors and lead them towards substance use as a coping mechanism. This training will help participants understand the elements of secondary trauma, self-care musts for professionals to avoid burnout and help practitioners create a trauma-informed response while setting professional and personal boundaries.

This training moves beyond self-care clichés and into actionable frameworks that protect both the professional and the mission.
