The training, “How Maternal Substance Use Impacts the Development of Mental Health from Infancy through Early Childhood” will focus on the healthy patterns of mental health development through the lens of healthy attachment, enrichment, and healthy physical growth. The training will go in-depth on ways to observe, punctuate, and intervene on mental health growth from infancy through early childhood. Highlighting patterns of early growth and opportunities for intervention to curve the potential for adverse childhood experiences and negative impacts on early mental health development. We will explore barriers to healthy mental health development, long-term outcomes of an insecure base being established and ways to provide psychoeducation, intervention and instilling hope to client’s and families presenting with high risk.

  • PCS provides light refreshments at all in-person trainings. Lunch is not provided. Please come prepared with a packed lunch as there will be time for a brief working lunch.
  • By attending a PCS training, you are giving PCS permission to videotape you and any discussion you participate in for video training purposes.
